'the city within' is a limited edition artist book created by Natalie Draz. Consisting of etchings and screenprints, this book is both an artist book and a sculptural art piece. It unfolds from a book format into a 40" tall ribcage of screenprinted ribs, held together by an etched accordion city. The narrative of the book is hidden within the ribs, and can be read several different ways: left to right, back to front, however each viewer personally approaches the bookwork.
Hand-Printed at New York's Women's Studio Workshop by Natalie Draz and the wonderful team of print interns and studio manager, 'the city within' is a limited edition of 60 books.
